Jaipur alone, done properly. Amber Fort and Palace on its ridge, the Gaitore cenotaphs, Jal Mahal sitting in the middle of Man Sagar, the City Palace and its museum, Jantar Mantar’s giant stone instruments, and Hawa Mahal’s five-storey lattice front.
The third day goes out to Ajmer for the Dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti and the Adhai-din-ka-Jhonpra, then on to Pushkar — four hundred temples around a holy lake, and the only temple in India dedicated to Brahma.
