We began where we live — in the hills and forests of North Bengal, running small groups to villages that most itineraries never reach. Word travelled, and so did we. Today Sanjhbati Tourism operates thirty-five ready itineraries across thirteen states, from a two-night break in Kalimpong to an eleven-day circuit through Rajasthan.

Our most recent step has been our own homestay in the orange-growing village of Sittong, in the Darjeeling offbeat belt. Running our own property means we control the standard of the rooms, the quality of the food and the warmth of the welcome directly. Nothing is left to a third party, and nothing is left to chance.
