Purulia in the Puja season is one of Bengal’s great open secrets. The Ayodhya Hills turn every shade of red and ochre, Turga and Bamni waterfalls run full, and the lake at Baranti sits still enough to hold the whole sky. Add the ruins of Garhpanchkot at the foot of Panchet Hill and you have a circuit that is scenic, historic and remarkably easy on the budget.
Our Purulia package covers the complete Ayodhya–Baghmundi and Baranti–Garhpanchkot circuit from Barabhum station, with all meals included from your first breakfast to your last. This route is a particular favourite with student groups and first-time travellers, because the distances are manageable, the accommodation is simple and clean, and there is something worth stopping for every half hour.
