Odisha Travel Guide: Routes, Costs and the Best Time to Go

Jagannath Dham, the dolphins of Chilika and the Sun Temple at Konark. This guide sets out what Odisha actually offers, what a trip
there costs, when to go, and how we run it — written from the routes we operate
ourselves rather than from a brochure.

Why Odisha is worth your leave

Odisha packs a remarkable amount into a short radius — the Jagannath Temple at Puri, Chilika, the largest Ramsar site in Asia, and the UNESCO-listed Sun Temple at Konark. Our itinerary is arranged so the darshans fall at sensible hours and the Marine Drive is driven in good light.

What a trip costs

We run 1 itinerary here.
Rates are quoted to your group size and hotel category. Every figure below is
per person and includes accommodation, the stated meal plan, private transport,
all sightseeing in the itinerary, and toll tax, parking and driver allowance.

Common questions before booking

How many people do you need to run a departure?

It varies — two for Kashmir and the Andamans, four for Shimla–Manali, seven for most North Bengal group rates, eight for the Silk Route. Each package page states it.

What if our group is smaller than the minimum?

We will requote for your actual numbers. A smaller group simply carries a higher per-head cost; it does not stop you travelling.

Do you have an office we can visit?

Yes. Our location is on Google Maps — the link is in the footer and on the Contact page. Please call ahead so someone is free to sit with you.

Planning your dates

Peak windows — the Pujas, December, and the Kashmir tulip season — fill six to
eight weeks ahead, and offbeat homestays have very few rooms between them. If your
dates are fixed, talk to us early. If they are flexible, tell us and we will
suggest the week that gives you the best weather and the best rate.
