About This Tour
This is where Spiti becomes a circuit rather than a there-and-back. After Kaza you carry on north-west over the Kunzum La to Chandratal, the moon lake, at four thousand three hundred metres, and camp beside it.
The next day drops into Lahaul and returns to Manali through the Atal Tunnel, with Solang Valley on the way. You see the whole valley without driving a single stretch twice. Note that the Kunzum road is open only in the summer months.
