About This Tour

Shimla and Manali remain the heart of Himachal for good reason. Shimla gives you the Ridge, the Mall, Christ Church and the Kufri slopes; Manali gives you the Hadimba temple among the deodars, the Beas running through town, Solang Valley and — when the pass is open — the road through the Atal Tunnel to Sissu.

The drive between them follows the Kullu valley past the Pandoh dam and Sundernagar lake, with river rafting at Kullu for anyone who wants it.

Day by day, here is exactly how Unforgettable Himachal — Shimla and Manali unfolds — 5 nights and 6 days, starting and ending at Bagdogra / NJP / Siliguri.

Day 1, Arrival and transfer to Shimla
Our representative will meet you on arrival and you will drive up to Shimla. Check in, and keep the evening free — the Mall and the Ridge are at their best once the day crowd has gone. Dinner and overnight at Shimla.
Day 2, Kufri and Shimla town
After breakfast, drive out to Kufri at two thousand six hundred metres for the Mahasu Peak, the mini zoo and the adventure park, passing Green Valley and Wildflower Hall on the way. Horse and yak rides are available at your own cost. The evening is for the Ridge, Christ Church, Scandal Point, the Gaiety Theatre, Kalibari temple and Lakkar Bazaar. Overnight at Shimla.
Day 3, Shimla to Manali through the Kullu valley
An early start for the long and beautiful drive to Manali, following the Satluj and then the Beas. Sundernagar lake, the Pandoh dam and Mandi come en route, and there is time at Kullu for river rafting if you would like it. Check in at Manali. Overnight at Manali.
Day 4, Solang Valley and the Atal Tunnel
The big day. Drive up the valley to Solang for paragliding, zorbing and the ropeway, and on through the Atal Tunnel — nine kilometres under the Rohtang ridge — to Sissu and the Lahaul side, snow permitting. Overnight at Manali.
Day 5, Manali local sightseeing
A gentler day in town: the Hadimba Devi temple in its deodar grove, Manu temple at Old Manali, the Vashisht hot springs, the Tibetan monastery and the Van Vihar on the riverbank. The Mall Road is for the evening. Overnight at Manali.
Day 6, Departure
After breakfast you will be driven down the valley for your onward journey, and the tour concludes with memories that stay with you long after.
