About This Tour

This is our home ground, and this itinerary is the reason people keep coming back to it. Four days and three nights spread across the hamlets above Kalimpong — Kolakham at the edge of Neora Valley National Park, then a night among Delo, Fikkeley Gaon, Ichhey Gaon, Ramdhura, Duka Valley or Mairung Gaon depending on the season, and a last night at Lolegaon or Kafergaon.

Along the way: Gajoldoba and the Gorubathan road, the Changey waterfall, Lava Monastery, Delo Park, Hanuman Top, the Durpin Dara monastery, Morgan House, Nokdara Lake and the Lolegaon hanging bridge. We hold our own associate homestays in most of these villages, which is why the beds are warm and the food is home-cooked.

Itinerary

Day by day, here is exactly how Kalimpong Offbeat — Extended Stay unfolds — 3 nights and 4 days, starting and ending at NJP / Siliguri / Bagdogra / New Mal.

  • Day 1, NJP to Kolakham, through Gorubathan and the Neora valley

    The journey begins today. You will visit Gorubathan and Gajoldoba, Ambiok, Pamporkheti, Neora Valley and Changey Falls. Dinner and overnight stay at Kolakham.

  • Day 2, Kolakham to Lava, Delo and the ridge villages

    After an unhurried breakfast, the day opens up. On the itinerary today are I Love Lava, Lava Monastery, Delo Park, Hanuman Top, Durga Mandir, Science City, Morgan House, Durpin Dara Monastery and Pine View Nursery. Check in, settle down and spend the night at Homestay.

  • Day 3, Nokdara, Dubling and down to Lolegaon

    A full day of sightseeing awaits. The day covers Nokdara Lake, Dubling Viewpoint, Lolegaon Park and Lolegaon hanging bridge. Overnight stay at Kafergaon/Lolegaon.

  • Day 4, Lolegaon to NJP via the Loop Bridge

    The journey closes today. You will see Loop Bridge and Sevoke Kali Temple. You will be dropped at the railway station, and the tour concludes with memories that stay with you long after.
