The fuller version of our Darjeeling circuit, with a second offbeat night added at Takdah or Tinchuley — old British cantonment villages where the bungalows still stand among cryptomeria and the cloud comes in through the windows by four o’clock.
Sittong’s orange orchards come first, then Mangpu’s Rabindra Bhavan and the Lamahatta park, then two nights in Darjeeling for Tiger Hill, Ghum, the zoo, the tea gardens and the ropeway. Mirik and the Simana viewpoint on the way down.
