This route runs the length of the Western Ghats’ most rewarding stretch, from the Edakkal Caves and Banasura Sagar in Wayanad across to the tea estates and lake at Ooty, with Bangalore and Mysore at the start.

Day by day, here is exactly how Mesmerizing Western Ghats unfolds — where you travel, what you see and where you spend each night. 6 nights, 7 days, Bangalore (1N) → Mysore (1N) → Wayanad (2N) → Ooty (2N).

Day 1, Bangalore
The Garden City of India and the capital of Karnataka is one of the prettiest and cleanest cities in the country, well known for its rapidly growing software industry. Visit Cubbon Park and the Government Museum, Tipu Sultan's Palace, the Fort, the Bull Temple and the Venkatappa Art Gallery as time permits. Overnight at the hotel. Please note that the distances mentioned are measured from the city centre.
Day 2, Mysore
Mysore, the royal city of Karnataka, has a great number of royal buildings, gardens, temples, museums and modern amusement parks. Visit the Chamarajendra Art Gallery, Mysore Zoo, the Maharaja's Palace and Brindavan Gardens. Overnight at the hotel. Please note that Mysore Zoo remains closed on Tuesdays.
Day 3, Wayanad
Wayanad is a green district of the Western Ghats, known for its spice plantations, waterfalls and prehistoric caves. Visit the Edakkal Caves, Pookode Lake, Banasura Sagar Dam and the Soochipara or Meenmutty waterfalls as time permits. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4, Wayanad sightseeing
A second day in Wayanad among the caves, lakes and waterfalls. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 5, Ooty
Ooty is a picturesque landscape of deep forest, green meadows, vast tea gardens and tall eucalyptus trees. Visit the Botanical Garden, the tea estates and factories, and enjoy boating on Ooty Lake. Hiking and horse riding are also available here. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 6, Ooty sightseeing
A further day among the tea estates and viewpoints of the Nilgiris. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 7, Departure from Coimbatore
After breakfast, transfer to Coimbatore airport for your onward journey.
