About This Tour

Five days is enough for a genuine taste of the south if the route is planned properly. Bangalore for a day, Mysore for its palace and gardens, and then two full nights in Ooty so that the Nilgiris are enjoyed rather than merely passed through.

All South India departures run in an air-conditioned private vehicle sized to your group — a sedan for two, an Ertiga for four, an Innova for six, and a 12-seater tempo traveller for larger parties. Four accommodation categories are available, and the per-head cost falls sharply as group size increases. Arrival is at Bangalore airport and departure from Coimbatore.

Day 1, Bangalore
The Garden City of India and the capital of Karnataka is one of the prettiest and cleanest cities in the country, well known for its rapidly growing software industry. Visit Cubbon Park and the Government Museum, Tipu Sultan's Palace, the Fort, the Bull Temple and the Venkatappa Art Gallery as time permits. Overnight at the hotel. Please note that the distances mentioned are measured from the city centre.
Day 2, Mysore
Mysore, the royal city of Karnataka, has a great number of royal buildings, gardens, temples, museums and modern amusement parks. Visit the Chamarajendra Art Gallery, Mysore Zoo, the Maharaja's Palace and Brindavan Gardens. Overnight at the hotel. Please note that Mysore Zoo remains closed on Tuesdays.
Day 3, Ooty
Ooty is a picturesque landscape of deep forest, green meadows, vast tea gardens and tall eucalyptus trees. Visit the Botanical Garden, the tea estates and factories, and enjoy boating on Ooty Lake. Hiking and horse riding are also available here. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4, Ooty sightseeing
A second full day in the Nilgiris, covering the remaining viewpoints, tea estates and gardens at an unhurried pace. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 5, Departure from Coimbatore
After breakfast, drive down to Coimbatore airport for your onward journey.
