About This Tour

The road to Tawang is the point of this journey as much as Tawang itself. It climbs from the Kameng river at Bhalukpong to the hot springs at Dirang, crosses Sela Pass at 13,700 feet, passes Jaswant Garh and the Nuranang Falls, and finally arrives at the largest Buddhist monastery in India after Lhasa.

This seven-day circuit is run on hotel and homestay accommodation with the MAP meal plan, in a private vehicle with a driver experienced on these mountain roads. Arunachal Pradesh requires an Inner Line Permit for Indian nationals, and our team handles that paperwork for you. Two nights at Tawang give the body time to adjust to the altitude and leave a full day for the monastery, the war memorial and the lakes.
